WHAT IS PROBUS?

A club to socialise with friends

PROBUS is a social club where members meet and participate in a number of activities together. There are 2,500 clubs in the UK and many worldwide. It is an association of mainly, but not exclusively, retired people who come together in non-political, non-sectarian and non-profit way, providing regular opportunities for members to meet others in similar circumstances, with similar levels of interest, make new friends, and maintain and expand their interests.

No, you can choose which lunches you attend. There is no obligation to attend all the lunches.

Members usually comprise of  partly and fully retired men and women, but this is not a  requirement. Home workers are welcome.

The dress code is usually smart casual to the lunches. Obviously some outings would require you to dress weather appropriate. 

Yes there is usually a mini bus available for transport to events and often members take other members to Witney.

Not at all, some have 2 homes! Many are from outside Charlbury itself.
